If you are 16-25, have you thought about joining the Children in Care Council (CiCC)?

This is a group of young people who want to offer support to other people in care and ensure that the voice of young people is being heard.

If you are due to leave care, following your 18th birthday, you are entitled to support to help to become more independent.

Leaving care may be something you had been looking forward to, the chance to live independently or semi-independently. It’s important to remember it is a big change and that support is out there for you.

If you do start to feel like it’s all a bit too much, remember that you can reach out for help, and you can get advice and support on all sorts of things – from how to budget for bills and food shops to how to apply for jobs and financially support yourself.
